1.Nokia Lumia 620
- Nokia Lumia 620 is a budget Windows 8 Phone from Nokia with some good features.
- Nokia Lumia 620 comes with the latest Microsoft Windows Phone 8 OS and a Dual core processor with 1 GHz Clock speed.
- Screen is 3.8 inches WVGA Capacitive Touchscreen with 800 x 480 pixels resolution which is good for this size.
- Primary camera is 5 MP with Autofocus, LED Flash and a Secondary VGA camera is provided for video calling.
- The Phone runs on 512 MB RAM and also it is provided with an internal Storage space of 8 GB.
- External Storage of up to 64 GB via MicroSD card slot is also available.
- Connectivity is via Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Hotspot, microUSB v2.0 and 3G is supported by HSDPA, HSUPA.
2.HTC 8S
- HTC 8S is the scaled down version of HTC 8X, but still comes features according to its lower price.
- It is one of the first Phones announced with Windows Phone 8 OS and comes with Dual-core 1 GHz Krait Processor, Snapdragon S4 chipset and an Adreno 225 GPU.
- The 4 inches S-LCD capacitive touchscreen is OK but for the low resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
- There is a primary 5 MP camera with autofocus, LED flash and a VGA Secondary Camera.
- The phone has 512 MB RAM which is a drawback, 4 GB internal storage, microSD external storage up to 32 GB.
- 3G Data Transfer is via HSDPA, HSUPA and the connectivity options in the phone include Bluetooth v3.1 with A2DP, EDR, microUSB v2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n but there is no NFC available.
3.HTC 8X
- HTC 8X is athe flagship Windows 8 Phone from HTC with some great features.
- The phone comes with latest Windows Phone 8 OS and Dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm S4 Processor.
- Adreno 225 GPU in the phone is comparatively a slow performer for gaming.
- The 4.3 inches S-LCD2 capacitive touchscreen with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution is sensitive and good.
- Beats Audio sound enhancement and exclusive built-in amplifier in HTC 8X provides great quality music and provides a very good sound experience.
- Rear camera in the phone is of 8 MP which takes good pictures and HD videos at 1080p video. Front Camera is of 2.1 MP.
- Only 1 GB RAM is provided, which is a drawback, but 16 GB internal storage plus microSD storage up to 32 GB is quite sufficient.
- Other advanced features in the phone include dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC and it supports MicroSIM card support only.
4.Nokia Lumia 820
- Advantages: Latest Windows Phone 8 OS, Dual-core processor, Wireless Charging
- Disadvantages: Lack of Pureview camera, Low Screen Resolution , no Screen Protection
- Design and Looks: Nokia Lumia 820 is the poor cousin of Lumia 920 with most of the features scaled down. But the problem is with the pricing. The phone comes with a 4.3 inches AMOLED Screen featuring only 800 x 480 pixels of resolution with ~217 ppi pixel density . We would say that resolution is a bit low for the size of the screen. Also Gorilla Glass protection is not available.
- Hardware and Software: Lumia 820 is rich in hardware and software. RAM is 1GB and runs on Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait Processor. OS is the latest Windows Phone 8, which is pretty good.Main disadvantage for the fledgling Windows Phone 8 OS is the lack of sufficient number of supporting Apps. Adreno 225 GPU supports graphics and the phone has Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon chipset.
- Camera, Music and Multimedia: Nokia always put it's best when coming to camera part. The primary camera is 8MP with 3264x2448 pixels, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, dual-LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus. But Pureview technology is missing. The secondary camera is of VGA quality which could been a bit high.
- Internal and External Storage: The phone comes with 8 GB internal storage and external storage via microSD upto 64 GB also is available.
- Connectivity Options: The phone can work on Quad band 2G and 3G plus Penta band 4G networks. In addition to GPRS and EDGE, Nokia Lumia 820 can be connected to internet via 3G at Speed of up to HSDPA 42 Mbps and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps plus 4G via LTE Cat3 50 Mbps UL, 100 Mbps DL which makes browsing and downloading very fast. The internet speed is a boon for those who download lots of music and movies. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth v3.1 with A2DP and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n. NFC also is available.
- Battery and Talk Time: The phone comes with Standard Li-Ion 1650 mAh battery providing talk time upto Up to 14 hours (2G) / Up to 8 hours (3G) and standby time up to Up to 330 hours (2G) / Up to 330 hours (3G).
5.Nokia Lumia 920
- Nokia Lumia 920, the flagship phone from Nokia with the all new Windows 8 OS has generated lot of interest among mobile phone enthusiasts and not without any reason.
- It is one of the best Phone with Windows Phone 8 OS, and a Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait Processor together with a powerful Adreno 225 GPU for graphics.
- The 4.5 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1280 x 720 pixels of resolution, Gorilla Glass 2 protection and is good enough even though it is not of Super AMOLED quality.
- 1GB RAM is less for the configuration of the phone and so is the 32GB internal storage without any provision for external storage. RAM might be sufficient since Windows * phones does not use as much memory as an Android Phone does.
- Talk time up to 17 hours for 2G is sufficient.
- The 8 MP primary camera with Carl Zeiss optics is going make a lot of people happy. Secondary 1.3 MP Camera is also present. The camera uses Nokia's proprietary PureView technology and is rated as one of the best camera in mobile phones.
- 3G Data Transfer is at HSDPA 42 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps and connectivity options include Bluetooth v3.1, microUSB v2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot and NFC.
6.Nokia Lumia 720
- Design and Looks: Nokia Lumia 720 comes with same specs as of the Lumia 520 but the screen is slightly bigger in the Lumia 720. The phone sports a 4.3 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen featuring 800 x 480 pixels WVGA resolution which is a bit low for a 4.3 inch screen. Corning Glass 2 is protects the screen.
- Hardware and Software: Lumia 720 comes limited features which can't enthuse the buyer. RAM is only 512 MB and runs on Dual-core 1 GHz Krait Processor. OS is the latest Windows Phone 8, the windows app store is not rich with apps like Android which limits the windows phone from becoming a hit with masses. Graphics is taken care by Adreno 305 GPU and the chipset is Qualcomm MSM8227.
- Camera, Music and Multimedia: Nokia Lumia 720 is provided with a 6.7 MP rear camera with 3088 x 2152 pixels, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, LED flash and Front 1.3 MP for video calls. The phone can play supported media formats like MP3, WAV, WMA, eAAC+ (audio) and MP4, H.263, H.264, WMV (video). Dolby Headphone sound is also available with the phone.

7.Nokia Lumia 520
- Design and Looks: Nokia Lumia 520 is expected to be a midrange Windows 8 phone with limited features, the specs confirm that the phone will be priced at mid-range. The phone comes with a 4 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen featuring 800 x 480 pixels WVGA resolution. The Screen is protected by scratch resistant glass.
- Hardware and Software: Lumia 520 comes with midrange features and may not be a better performer like the 820 and 920.Available RAM is of 512 MB and the phone runs on Dual-core 1 GHz Processor. OS is the latest Windows Phone 8, which is pretty good. Adreno 305 GPU supports graphics and the phone has Qualcomm MSM8227 chipset.
- Camera, Music and Multimedia: Nokia has decided to put a 5 MP camera in the rear and has missed to install a front camera for video calling. The phone can play supported media formats like MP3, WAV, WMA, eAAC+ (audio) and MP4, H.263, H.264, WMV (video). The phone has Dolby supported Headphone for better clarity music.
